Welcome to the Cordão De Ouro (CDO) Chicago capoeira website! Our group is led by Instrutor Morrão, supervised by Mestre Virgulino, and directed by Mestre Suassuna. CDO Chicago is a positive community, focused on learning the African–Brazilian art form of capoeira in a nurturing, positive, and challenging environment. In addition to capoeira, we also learn and perform the Brazilian folkloric dances of samba, Maculele, puxada de rede, and dança guerreira.
